The Eagle comes about from a customer request. Frankly, I wasn’t sure about a bowling pin Eagle. When I had the thought - the customer had seen my work and wanted an Eagle - I decided I would create an Eagle, but that it would have to have talons and not just potato masher feet.

So, I went about creating feet. After a couple false starts, I have the feet down to 4 pieces and 3 welds. The first few Eagles are equipped with prototype feet which have as many as 8 pieces and 7 welds. In the process, I learned how to create a die for the press to bend the talons. So, I am creating, modifying, learning and re-creating. All while being amused. Artist is a pretty good vocation.
